As reported by Heli-Team, RCLogger has announced their new chargers with RFID capability. Whether this is a gimmick or a viable option with truly intelligent pack charging, remains to be seen, but the possibilities are endless!

New regulations spelling out the end of a cheap LiPo...?

According to Infinity Hobby, new aviation regulations will prevent vendors from shipping their LiPo batteries by Air Mail... does this spell the end of an affordable LiPo?

After a quick search, I found a Bloomberg article on this subject, which outlines the ICAO proposal on battery shipments, which are suggested to be labelled as hazardous goods from 1st Jan 2013. This is due to a rather terrifying statistic of one registered cargo plane being downed by lithium battery fires in its cargo hold every other year!

An 'intelligent' swarm of micro-quads!

If you follow the current developments in FPV, auto pilot hardware or multi-rotors, you probably already saw this video. If you haven't - here's your chance to shout: 'real-life Space Invaders!!'

RCG Podcast #10 is out!
